What is your favorite holiday tradition & why?
A recent holiday tradition in our home is to gift each other one new novelty Christmas ornament each year. Usually, that ornament is reflective of specific life happenings or inside jokes. Over the years, our tree has begun to tell our life story. This season, after a year of intense home renovations, I was so stoked to hang my DeWalt Power Drill ornament.Â
What's your approach to decorating during the holidays?
As with any other time of year, I like to surround myself with authentic heirlooms and found objects I find to be beautiful or charming. In our home, we hang handmade stockings on the fireplace, burn taper candles, place a nice wreath on the door, and arrange some seasonal flowers. Keep it simple, natural, and sincere.Â
What room do you find yourself the most in during the holidays? How do you make it just right for you?
My favorite space is our newly renovated cottage building (typically used as a home office), where we just hosted Thanksgiving with our family and friends and plan to spend lots of time throughout the rest of the holiday season. The space is equipped with a pellet stove, sleeper sofa, as well as three Stella Pendants, which totally fill the space with light.Â
How are you setting the mood during the holiday season?
The goal is to achieve ultimate coziness, partially accomplished by your light calibration. Turn off all overhead lights, and selectively choose one or two lamps or sconces to dimly warm the space, as if by candlelight. If you don’t already have your fixtures on dimmer switches, do so immediately. It will change your life.Â
Is there a Mitzi piece making a special appearance on your wish list?
The Cortney Table Lamp by Home Ec. is one of my favorite Mitzi pieces of late. It is so visually simple yet stands out to me in a vast sea of table lamp options. Its opal glass shade and base are so soft and fun, like gumdrops. I think anyone would be happy to receive it as a gift.Â
Imagine you're hosting a dinner party; what piece would be hanging over your dining table?
The Mimi Chandelier by Megan Molten is so impressively decadent and would serve as an amazing centerpiece over a dining table. Ornamented with warm, shimmering bubbles of champagne glass, it’s perfectly suited for a holiday dinner party. Â

What is your favorite holiday tradition & why?
My favorite holiday tradition is playing board games with my family! We all get comfy, grab snacks, gather in our living room, and spend quality time together playing our favorite games. This is my favorite holiday tradition because this is a time for fun, family, and lots of laughter!
What's your go-to holiday recipe or dish that you love to prepare or enjoy?
My go-to holiday recipe is Lasagna! It's a crowd-pleaser, always filling and warming to the soul. My secret ingredient is apple chicken sausage and lots and lots of love!Â
How are you setting the mood during the holiday season?Â
First things first, I set the mood by turning on holiday fragrance candles. My favorite scent burning at the moment is a crisp white birch. It really helps set the mood. You also have to turn on your lamps! I have the Heather table lamp on my end table perfectly placed by my tree. Last, you have to have a holiday movie in the background; my favorite to watch every year is "Almost Christmas."
Imagine you're hosting a dinner party; what Mitzi piece would be hanging over your dining table?
For hosting a dinner party, I would have the beautiful Lyla pendant! It's so stylish, such a conversation starter, and an understated but elegant one. I actually have it above my table right now! Â

What's your approach to decorating during the holidays?Â
I like to go for a subtle but cozy feel. My go-to for achieving this is using Frasier fir candles and oils around the apartment. It's my favorite holiday scent that feels fresh and warm. I add touches of winter greenery around for a simple holiday look. Lastly, I turn off the big lights and only use accent lighting like table lamps and plug-in wall sconces. Lighting is key for setting the right mood during this time of year! My favorite piece is the Laney Table Lamp, which sits on my bar cabinet. It has such a beautiful glossy base and soft glow!Â
What is your favorite holiday tradition & why?
I am a huge chocolate lover, so baking chocolate chip cookies from scratch and enjoying them with velvety hot chocolate is a must every year! I'll freeze ready-to-bake cookie dough to enjoy as a sweet treat all throughout December. It's simple but nostalgic. I follow @BromaBakery cookie's recipe, which is the best I've ever had!Â
What's your go-to holiday recipe or dish that you love to prepare or enjoy?
A crowd-pleasing cocktail I typically make is a winter margarita. Mix 3 oz of cranberry juice, the juice of one lime, 1oz of Cointreau, and 2 oz of tequila. Add fresh cranberry and rosemary to make your glass pretty with a sugar or salt rim!
Imagine you're hosting a dinner party; what's hanging over your dining table?Â
My latest design obsession has been squiggles, so I'd have to say the Havana Chandelier by Tastemaker Zio and Sons! Its wavy arms and glossy globes make it a playful but polished piece, which is very much my style!
Do you have any tips for managing work-life balance during the busy holiday season?
Life can feel super hectic during the holiday season, but planning time for self-care always helps me. I love using Papier's Wellness Journal; it encourages practices of gratitude, reflecting, and planning your "me time, " which truly makes a difference.Â

What is your favorite holiday tradition & why?Â
I love curling up on the couch and watching a good holiday movie! My family and I watch the same movies year after year — it's such a comforting and nostalgic ritual that brings us together and sets the tone for a festive and cozy season. We always watch a movie like A Christmas Story or National Lampoons Christmas Vacation after decorating our tree.Â
What's your go-to holiday recipe or dish that you love to prepare or enjoy?
Since I'm a vegetarian, I thrive on side dishes! I love a green bean casserole, homemade cranberry sauce, and plenty of mashed potatoes. But my go-to recipe is a dessert -- peanut butter & chocolate pie. It's a super easy, no-bake pie that's always a hit at holiday parties.Â
What room do you find yourself the most in during the holidays? How do you make it just right for you?
It's definitely my living room! It's where I like to unwind after work, wrap presents, and watch plenty of holiday movies & shows. My Gina wall sconce provides the perfect amount of ambient light without being overpowering.Â
How are you setting the mood during the holiday season?
I like to set the mood with small tweaks like holiday-scented candles, cozy blankets, and decor like stockings and minimalistic garlands. I love a mini-tree situation since I have a smaller space and always use ornaments that have been in my family for decades. You can also find my dog Olive in a holiday sweater 90% of the time 🙂Â
