"2021 has made me realize just how important it is to have a sense of gratitude, stillness, and togetherness. For me, this means cherishing the time I get to spend with loved ones during the holiday season. With this, it is always my goal to focus on creating a still and tranquil environment in my home. This means adding in holiday decor that is grounding and a simple ode to the season. I love to bring in cozy neutrals like throw blankets, pillows, and pumpkins that compliment the color palette of my home while creating a cozy and relaxing space for my guests. After a meal, my loved ones and I all get together, hang out in the living room, and cuddle up in blankets while we chat over a hot drink. This is my favorite way to gather and spend time with loved ones." - Ajai Guyot, @truehome_

"When it comes to decorating for the holidays and creating a space for my family to gather, simple is always best. It doesn't matter what color tablecloth you use or if your plates don't match because at the end of the day, the most important thing is being with your loved ones and enjoying each others company." - Minna So, @minna_so

I like to have my "Chill Dinner" Spotify playlist and a diffuser going before friends arrive, mostly because it helps me relax. I tend to be a nervous host, so a calm vibe is essential. We're all about unfussy dinners, but I love styling a tablescape or charcuterie board to make things feel special. Maintaining adult friendships isn't easy, especially in the age of Covid. Building opportunities to welcome friends into our home feels essential, and during the holidays, almost sacred." - Dominique Gebru, @dommdotcom

"When it comes to gathering with the people I care about these days, the focus is less on creating the perfect atmosphere and more on just being able to be together. However, a pretty tablescape can be created with things many people already have on hand. Cut some fall branches, florals, or grass plumes from your yard or use any faux or dried flowers you have for the centerpiece. Add tapers and tea lights for a festive vibe. Then set the table with the basics: cups, plates, napkins, and flatware. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. Like I said, it's really about being together. If you want to go all out though, do it! Hey, it's your party!" - Brit Arnesen, @britdotdesign
